PROJECT: Westfield 277 | COMPLETED: 2019
ICONIC PRECAST in the HEART OF NEWMARKET
For Scentre NZ, the redevelopment of the Westfield 277 Newmarket Shopping Centre saw their in-house design experts seek out products that would harmonise with the transformation and expansion of their new facility into a road-spanning community destination.
Nauhria consulted with project designers from the project inception presenting design options, knowledge and solutions, understanding both the clients and the project needs & constraints while providing them with an architectural freedom to embrace the global best that industry had to offer.
3 dimensional rubber rock texture form-liners were sourced from Germany, moulded, then cast on, to provide a textural solidity to the wall panels of the massive building structure while respecting the rock solid geographical heritage of the projects location.
Achieving balancing of old with new, Scentre’s Design team also adopted bespoke Monarc Milled Rebates to provide a seamless dynamic pedestrian scape to the footpath walls.
Nauhria manufactured multiple samples panels of product selections to confirm expectations were achieved, to establish a benchmark for the project and to ensure open communication and understanding by all project stake holders. The project was inkeeping with strict budgetary constraints and requried continuity of a night delivery schedule to minimise commuter disruption.
For Scentre the built destination is a place for people to enjoy, to relax, to shop and be together.Get in Touch
